When music plays an integral part of your upbringing, it’s no surprise that music remains a focal point in your life. That’s exactly what happened to Nadine. The whole family played instruments and sang and young Nadine loved to sing, as well as play guitar and keyboards. At 10 years of age, the family surprised her with a karaoke machine and she’s been hooked on singing ever since. School was fun when choir was part of your day, or singing the national anthem at all the sports games. In high school, she landed the lead roll in a musical, and at that time thought musical theatre would be her future. After graduation, Nadine began singing karaoke and got hooked on the buzz of live performance. It was the audience appreciation that made her realize the stage was her home. In 2000, she started entering singing contests and the trophies began stacking up. In 2006, Nadine won top prize in the B.C. Talent Search. Part of the winning prize package was a performance slot on the famous Merritt Mountain Music Festival main stage. Nadine sang right before Aaron Pritchett, followed by headliners, Big & Rich. “That was a huge highlight”, says Nadine. “My mom and dad were there supporting me, sitting in the front row.” Award winning producer, Tom McKillip, was a judge the night Nadine won the B.C. Talent Search. He was impressed by her vocal prowess. This led to the next step - recording. With McKillip at the helm, Nadine’s debut single will be released TBA. 2007 also hit the road on a BC Tour opening for Aaron Pritchett. This is just the beginning of many road trips to come for an incredibly talented young woman. Her commanding, sweet, yet strong vocals, coupled with the beauty of youth, makes the name Nadine, one you won’t soon forget. This is just the beginning....
